Cc:Betty Updates, Adds Search

When I reviewed “personal email assistant” Cc:Betty last month, I noted that it was missing a powerful search facility. Apparently I wasn’t the only one asking after it, as the team behind Cc:Betty have updated the service to include search — greatly improving the usefulness of the app as a place to store and manage email conversations.

If you log into the service now you’ll see a search box has been added to the top-right corner of your mailspace. The results are sorted by category (Messages, Events, People, etc.), so it’s really easy to find what you’re looking for.

In my initial review, I also noted that Cc:Betty’s design was a little “rough around the edges.” Thankfully, this update also tidies up the UI and offers a choice of color palettes — which is good, because Betty’s retro purple coloring was a little wearing on the eyes.
